Yay my mommy has me again!

What alot has happened to me! My mom and dad came home, with my big brother Brighton! I was a little unsure first who they were, and who I should go to, but I remembered Brighton right away and squealed in happiness to see him! I quickly remembered my mom and dad, but I still went to Grammy lots, cuz she took such good care of me for my mom and dad. Then a whole bunch of other relatives came, Amy and Woody and Kherrington, and Jordan and Heather and Baby Oaklei, joining all we already had at home with Adam, and Heidi, and gramma and grampa, what fun we all had together! I had such a great Christmas time with them! And then I even got another new tooth! Look at me go. I am so proud of my little self. Setting a first iin the family even though I am the second child! I had fun with my gramma and grampa and am ever so glad to be back where I should be, with my family!

Well what a busy couple of days I have had! On Thursday Gramma was feeling all smug thinking that she could go the whole week without being squirted, but really I was waiting for the opportune moment! Thursday morning the time was right, the diaper was open, gramma was unsuspecting, and I let it fly! It was a good one too! Gramma screamed! Luckily Auntie Heidi was home and helped Gramma clean up, hee hee. I figure if me and Brighton are going to have contests one day, I better start practicing, he is older! Then on Friday, I got a fever and a croupy cough. I didn't sleep much, and Gramma says I better nap cuz she is exhausted! I had to go to the Dr. but luckily got no shots, only medicine. While the Dr was checking in my throat Grampa saw that I got a new tooth! On the bottom! I am the earliest one to get a tooth, yay for me, I set a first!! I am very excited to tell my mom and dad about all my adventures this week, and can't wait to see them!

My New Trick

I don't have a picture of me doing this yet, Gramma is too slow with the camera, but I have taught myself a new trick, and I just love it do it! I make a round "O" with my mouth, then breath Oh Oh Oh in and out in a breathy whispery sort of way, it sounds so cool, and I am so impressed with my little self! Gramma likes to do it with me too. I can't wait to show mom and dad and Brighton!

Gramma left me with Grampa to have dinner with friends, and I love Grampa, I really do, but it reminded me that I was missing my mom and dad and brother, and I just got so sad I cried alot, I felt bad for me!! So did Gramma and Grampa and they did hug and kiss on me and cheered me up.

Grampa came home for lunch just to play with me! I like to play with grampa and Molly, but Molly usually runs way from me, I don't know why!
I am ready to run errands and go to lunch with Gramma!
Yes, there are sometimes when I like to play toys and crawl around, but I do like to be held alot!

I did good at lunch with Gramma and her friends, everyone thought I was adorable and they all wanted to hold me, but I just wanted gramma to hold me! Gramma bought me some blanket sleepers because she thinks I like the snuggie sack so well, but I might grow out of it soon. Gramma says I can have my Christmas toy early to play with here, and now she says I can have half of an outfit too, my sweatshirt jacket so I can wear that early too! Staying here is working out good for me! But I do miss my mom and dad and brother!

Fun facts about me!

*My hair grows in a little V that Gramma thinks is perfectly adorable. She tries to spike it, but it doesn't work very often. She needs to get some hair goo like my mom has

*I am friendly and smiley and fun to be around, especially when I get my way!

*I am obsessed with anything esp. paper that makes a crinkly sound. I will crawl over anything to get to the crinkly sound

*I love to be rocked to sleep. Somehow the rumor got started that I did not, but I do!! One time Gramma even thought that I was so tired I would just lay right down, but then I reminded her quite loudly that I like to be rocked!

*I like to be held, or have Gramma sit close by me while I play

*I like to go outside on walks

*I like to pull on gramma's hair and put it in my mouth too. She loves me so she lets me some of the time!

*I like to kick kick kick my legs, they are always moving! This usually makes my socks fall off. One time in Target I lost both my socks, and Gramma looked and looked but could only find one!

Day 2 and 3 of Troy

Me and Grampa! This is me in my Sunday outfit! I was really good in church! The very first thing I noticed was that me and Gramma did not smell the same, so I burped on both of us, and then we smelled just right, and exactly the same! I am sure that made Gramma happy. And I was a big helper in Primary, and sang the songs with all the other kids and even took a little nap! That night some cousins came over with their mom and dad and played and that was fun. On Saturday Gramma thought I needed something warmer to sleep in, as I didn't sleep very well. I was missing my parents of course, but Gramma bought me a snuggie snack and I started wearing it over my jammies at nite. I admit I have been sleeping much better, and usually wake up only for my morning bottle. My bedtime routine is Gramma gets me ready, I kiss Grampa and laugh at his funny faces, I kiss Adam, Gramma puts me in my snuggie sack and off to bed I go. I like sleeping time!

Yep it is me Troy and I am visiting Gramma and Grampa! It did come as a surprise to me when I found out that I was the only one visiting, but I am having fun now! The visit started out well, with me and mom and dad and brother all in one room, sleeping, and I even got to sleep with mom and dad some! But then in the morning they all got in our car, without me! I thought they would be home soon, and would call out to them quite loudly so that they could hear it whereever they were to let them know they had forgot someone very important-me!! I even went on a semi hunger strike to show everyone how upset I was, and only ate a little and drank a little but by about 4 pm I decided grampa was right, it is easier to be happy on a full stomach, so I started eating again, as you can see. Gramma and Grampa are playing with me, and Kherrington, baby Oaklei and Aunti Heather came to play too!

Chris and Elaine, Paul and Karen, Doug and Megan, and Vern and Barbara. Mark and Karyn are still in Washington D. This year we again had the Albright Dinner Party, only instead of moving houses, we just had the dinner at Karen and Pauls, and all brought food. The Christmas exchange is always a blast, and everything was even more fun this year, as we had missed last year.

Gramma Martha can no longer come to our house, so we went to her place and had dinner in the dining room with her for our own little pre-Christmas celebration! She seemed happy that we were there with her.

The family dinner was way fun, with yummy food and songs, and little great grandchildren and grandchildren dressing up and acting out the Nativity. Brighton and Kherrington love each other!

All the kids! How glad I am that we went up to Provo the week before Christmas so that we could all be together. Adam met us coming down from Idaho. We celebrated Christmas a week early together, and the early part didn't matter, just the together! The very best of times are always the together times. The only part we didn't plan well was we exchanged some presents, but didn't arrange for Adam to have anything to open there, better planning needed for next year! Watching the kids open the presents was so much fun.

It snowed big time while we were Thanksgiving-ing in utah!

Well the outside is done, but the decorations on the insides still need alot of work! My expensive tree from Ralph Jones blew out about 80% of its lites, and we had to run to the store, twice!, to get a total of 7 new lite strands up on the tree, so maybe we can decorate it tomarrow! The joys of a pre lit tree, fun for the first year, and more lites to out each year after! Thanks giving in Utah was fun, fun but way set me back in Christmasy preparations! But we were so glad to all be together, it doesn't matter where, but the best times are when I am with all my family! That is truly home to me!

Heidi had fiends, I mean friends, over for a festive punkin dinner! Then they were off to a haungted house. This is my recipe for punkin dinner:

One punkin per person, we made 8

Large bag of mixed vegies, adjust as necessary

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 can chicken broth

4-6 frozen chicken breasts, halves

4-5 potatoes

Seasonings

Boil chicken and shred or cube. Peel and dice potatoes small, boil and drain.

Hollow out punkins, not the big ones, next size down, salt and pepper insides, place top back on, and wrap in tin foil. Place on baking sheet, and bake for 30 ish minutes, at 350 degrees.

Mix vegies, chicken, potatoe pieces (cooled) and soup. Mix in some seasonings as desired, be careful not to over season, could put in pinch of garlic, dehydrated onions(do not use fresh, way too over powering!) and salt and pepper. Spoon into punkins leaving some breathing room at the top for mix to expand. Place top back on. Leave tinfoil lightly wrapped around the bottom, makes lifting back to cookie sheet easier. Cook again at 350 for 30ish minutes. Lift onto plate by tinfoil. The punkin insides give it a nice flavor! Serve with salad and rolls. Enjoy!

Doug gets Heidi a car-a 2004 mustang! It is an anniversary special, and has lots of mustangs everywhere, including the seats! It is in perfect condition-not a ding on it anywhere, can we keep it that way???! Heidi was thrilled, and looks so cute in it. Her senior year, and she has a hot ride, go Heidi! I hope this year lasts a looong time, tomarrow nite is my last open house!

This is Heidi's senior year, and my personal happy days of having my kids live with me in my house are drawing to a close. This is very sad. How did the time go so fast? I miss all of their little faces and voices. But I still have one more year, and I am going to enjoy it to the fullest! I am going to live happily in every minute of it! And with every ending, there is a beginning, and I am excited to see new happiness come, like when I visit my grandkids and they smile at me! I love to visit with my kids. We just took Adam up to college and it was fun to visit with him. No wonder grandparents get motor homes, so you can drive to all your children and grandchildren, and have your home come with you! I guess I will have to start checking those out!

At the start of summer, Heidi started in on her super summer conditioning schedule for dance, and those dance girlies sure do work hard! They exercised for 4 hours aday this summer! She told me she could do 48 GUY push-ups and half of them she did clapping! Whoa. And yes, she does have great arms. I have never been known for my upper body strength, or any strength really, but thought hmmm and gave it a go. After 4 measly push-ups I was on the floor, totally done. So I set a goal to do 10 at the end of summer. I now can do 12!! Yes, the last 4 are really wimpy and I squeak them out, but still! Go me! Summer is over, I am sad, had some great vacations, didn't loose any weight, but I am excited that I can do a few "guy" push-ups!

The otters have a happy home. They were sooo adorable. Can't wait to go and see them again!

This was not the bucket list moment, altho it certainly was one for the books! I am holding an apple and the camel is taking it from me. It has special lips that can pick up food from the sand with out getting any sand! We went to a petting zoo in Moapa, and had so much fun with the animals.

Heidi gave the camel her apple. It was still a baby, and already huge!

Everyone went swimming when we got home from the beach. The unsalty water felt very nice!

We missed our Adam on the beach. He is installing alarms in Texas, and couldn't come.

Our final nite on the beach at sunset, we were hungry and it was breezy and chilly so we didn't stay out as long as usual!

We went to the Orange County Fair and Heidi wanted a picture with the snake. This boa eats large rabbits, I think if Brighton knew that, he wouldn't have been so comfortable so close!

Waves

The babies were too small to go boogie boarding but loved to dance on the boards!

Heidi tried surfing, and got up on her knees!

The boys loved playing in the waves. Woody got the award for turning upside down the most.

Amy and Woody played in the waves, I used to fit in that wetsuit Amy has on in the good old days!

Doug and I caught some fun waves! We had limited sun this year, but still had lots of fun. The week is never long enough.

Amy and Woody build their first sand castle. Woody kept going and going, adding and improving even after thniks picture, he fortified his moat, and sculpted his castle more.

Heidi had her book and her cell phone on the beach. Her phone was in a plastic baggie that she texted over!~

Doug brings his hammock every year. The funny thing this year, was when he got on, and tipped over backwards, everyone on the beach cracked up!

The babies loved the beach! Brighton really got into it, getting buried in the sand by his dad and woody, and constantly run into the water. His lips would be blue with cold and still he would run into the waves! It took Kakes a couple of days to really enjoy the sand, then she would walk all over, but not in the water!

We all love the beach! We go mostly every summer, and enjoy our time together. It is so relaxing to get away from the pressure. Beach days are the best, even when it is cloudy!

I wonder how old Amy will be when she stops being my Amy-baby? Or will she always be amy baby? Shani had her first recital the night I had Amy. I remember going to recital and watching from backstage so that when Shani was done-she did great of course!-I could leave with her right away as I was having contractions. Amy came very early the next morning. I went to the hospital and they said you are not ready yet, so I walked around the hospital for an hour or two, came back and asked for my shot, they checked me and said: no time for a shot! Barely time for a doctor! Silly nurses, I always was more ready than they thought. Amy was born on the same date her great grandmother, Ella Calista passed away, which is where Amy's middle name came from. Amy has always been a sweet and loving and hungry! child. I remember when she was about 4 she shut herself in the pantry, and when I told her to come out, she said, but I'm sooo hongry!! And it's no wonder she has loved dancing so much, as she was ready to be born during a dance recital!! She also did soccer for a long time, and earned the name Crazy legs, cuz even when she was down on the ground, her legs would continue to kick the ball! We will always love our Amy baby! Happies of birthdays to her, her first one married!

So I have been viewing everyone's posts and blogs about dancers, dance recitals, cute little kids in darling costumes, and feeling very nostalgic for the good old days-when my house was so full of children, noise, laughter, love, kicking and twirling! I remember a friend once came to my house about the same time as the karate adam photo, and kids were running upstairs, slamming doors and laughing, music was blaring, and there was stuff scattered everywhere. she looked around, took it all in, and looked at me and said "I never imagined your house would be like this!" It just made me laugh, cuz my house was ALWAYS like that, and I miss it! The days of having my house full will always be the favorite times of my life, not that life isn't good now, and I love my sons in law, and my sweet grandbabies (just wish I could see them every day!) but those days were the best. If you are living in them, enjoy every second! Laugh and play with your kids, every moment is precious and goes soooo fast! I love my kids! They will always be my stars!

Heidi was very fortunate to go to two dances this spring, one of which was a formal sponsored by our church. She wore a dress that wore a dress that Amy wore for her senior prom, and just like amy, she looked great in it!!

More Death Valley

When we went to Death Valley, the weather in Vegas was in the 60's, but in the valley, it was 90 and felt hotter. We had to relax in the shade with a popsicle!

Doug is King of the Mountain! The hills beyond were awesome, golden and layered.

Death Valley is dry, dry and having all these yellow blooms across the desert floor was fun to see, altho like Doug pointed out, it was not Busch gardens!

Look at this cool car I found at Aunt Michelles. I hope my mom and dad get this for me for my birthday!! My dad loves cars, I bet they will get me one! Gramma says they are coming to get me tomarrow, I am soooo excited!! I am sad for everyone here tho, they will miss me. Heidi didn't get to see me that much, so I made sure to get up early today, so I could help gramma fix her breakfast and lunch, and then ride with Heidi to school, so that she could see me every second she could. I am nice that way. Molly will miss me too, she follows me around now, and even comes in my room to sleep with me, I hear her collar go jingle jingle and then I sit up and tell her how happy I am to see her, but then gramma makes her go out. She even stands still and lets me pull her hair, I mean, pet her. I can even play ball with Molly now. Grampa will miss reading to me and tickling, but I bet gramma will miss me most of all. I have trained her well in how to take care of me, and she will be lonely. She didn't even lose any weight like she wanted, but I could have guessed that, we spend way too much time eating. She needs to just copy me, purse your lips and just say no! We have had a fun time together!

Thursday-Brightons last full day here

This has been such a busy week, Gramma and I have had no time for blogging! I went to Wal Mart with Gramma on Monday and picked out this cool stroller so Gramma could take me on walks. We even take Molly! She runs everywhere.

I love to play with balloons. Me and gramma went to the grocery store, and they had TONS of balloons, I got so excited and started pointing and calling out: B'oon, B'oon, then gramma got so excited about me saying balloon, everyone was laughing!

Me and Heidi on St. Patricks day, we wore green so we wouldn't be pinched.

And today was the best day ever!!! Me and gramma have had a cold all week, so today we finally felt good enough to have a play date with cousins, I have so many of them!! This is me with Dakota, and Graham. It was so fun playing in the backyard with all my new cousin friends. I missed seeing Madison and Mason, and Sienna and Austin, oh and Bailey and Peyton too. Hopefully next time!

This is all of us playing. Gramma had fun too visiting with all the cute young moms, and they were so nice to let a gramma come over to visit. There were so many kids and so many toys-I want to come again!!!

Brighton Day 4 & 5

' On my fourth day with gramma and grampa they took me to dinner to celebrate great aunt beth's birthday. I didn't do much eating, but had lots to fun booping around and talking very loudly! Church on day 5 was fun, I met lots of new friends in the hall, tried to help the sunday school teacher teach the lesson (I had to take her manual to make sure I knew the topic) and had very much fun in relief soceity, where lots of ladies wanted to hold me, and kiss on me!! I want to go there again! Gramma wanted to take a pic of me in my cute vest, but church was in my nap time, and I was toooo tired.

I love to run and play chase, Molly is in front of the door and I am running to her! Gramma says this is the view she sees most, me running away! She thinks she will lose weight while I am here, but I don't know, we seem to spend alot of time eating! I also really like to take things apart, and scatter them around, that is how I learn about things. I think I am teaching gramma and grampa really good about how to take care of grandkids!

This is me opening my birthday presents with mom. I got to open them early so I can play with them at gramma and grampas this week while my parents are away. There are no toys here, what do they do all day! But I am inventive, and find lots of things to play with, like a bowl and a spoon instantly become a drum set! Boy, do I have my work cut out for me this week. There is so much that I have to teach gramma and grampa, I hope I have time for it all! The main item is that I am the King, they are my bodyguards and entourage. I need someone to keep me safe at all times, what do I know about safety, I am just a baby. Also, since they are watching me every second, that gives them the chance to see all the really cool things I do, and applaud! My favorite things to do:

*play chase: I chase Molly and gramma chases me

*play food wars: I show off my skills at evasion, defense, and clearing the tray and gramma practices sneaky assaults, distractions, and quick spoon -ins. Molly gets to take care of my crumbs so she is on clean up. I hate squash, ewww, and I tolerate mixed vegies

*take baths: I love to splash!

*play with a balloon: I take it everywhere I go, and bat it
*read books with grampa

*rock in the rocking chair with gramma before she falls asleep, I mean before I fall asleep

I miss my mom and dad, but am having fun with gramma, grampa and heidi, and molly and DJ the bird. We squack to each other, and if the bird came out, I am sure we would be great friends, but gramma and grampa say no. I am getting up early so that everyone can appreciate every second with me, plus I want to see auntie heidi before she leaves for school!

Heidi gets our front door decorated for her bday! We were so excited to have Heather and Jordan and baby Kakes come and visit us for the wknd! and Heidi was happy tohave her bday partner home! Even the boys had a great time, getting in two games of golf, and one frisbee golf!
Amy and Woody had come home two weeks before this, we always love when our kids come home, we never see them enough and enjoy all our time together! Heidi has now turned 17, where does the time go? I remember when she was just a tiny little girl and now she is big. Luckily for us she is repeating her senior year, three times!

Grandkids-what a great present!

Albright grandparents and grandkids and spouses that were celebrating at our house! We felt very blessed to have everyone home for Christmas, even Heather and Jordan surprised us by coming home--yay! It was the best present to have everyone home. Some years Christmas reminds me of a blizzard-blanketing and obliterating all normal life, and some years it is a speeding train, rushing rushing rushing, and then speeding by and as you watch it go the words: but I barely got my tree up can barely be heard as it speeds away! this year it definitely was the train!! but I treasure all the little moments that made it great! I loved the one moment when my house was clean and all festive and lit, yes it was only one moment, but I treasure it!, I loved the family times, watching the grandkids play in the packaging and with their toys, rejoicing in everyone just being together, watch the boys play with their helicopters, family family and extended family, rejoicing in the birth-and life-and atonement of our Savior--all of it was as always truly the best of times, the most wonderful time of the year!

Last week we were at Vern and Barbara's, and I found a small bottle of what I thought was lotion. Who needs glasses, when I can obviously tell what it is? So I immediately started applying lotion to myself, my arms, and my legs. After a few minutes, I noticed that I felt greasy rather than smooth. Putting on my glasses, I saw that I had just applied head and shoulders shampoo to myself---ewww! Then this week I was visiting my mom and decided to curl her hair. I had to go to the locked cupboard to get the hairspray, again without my glasses. I found a tall bottle of a nice pink color that said Suave on it, with 24 underneath. Well, Suave makes hair products, right? and 24 must mean super hold. So I took it back into my mothers room, and started to spray it on her hair. I noticed it was kind of powdery, but thought it must be kinda old. When I finished I brought it back out front, and told the caregivers I was going to put away the hair spray. They all looked at me strangely and then started laughing, and told me I had just curled my mother's hair with Suave Deodorant!! (I didn't know Suave made deodorant!) Luckily my poor mom's hair was powdery, rather than greasy. I guess I am going to have to wear my glasses around my neck so I can see always! Oh dear.

First day of school for Heidi! This year Heidi has left cheerleading, she has cheered for 5 years total, to join her school dance team. She is our fourth daughter to be on the school team, so it feels like old times to be back! She just had her first performance at a game, and loved it! I am grateful for two more years with a child at home!

First engagement pic taken by a kind passer-by!! Woody is in Kansas City selling pest control, and flew Amy out to see him for the Fourth of July. On Sunday they went to see church history sites, where he surprised Amy by proposing!!! They have been dating for app. 8 months. Woody is from Alpine Utah. We are very excited to welcome him into the family!! We just wish we could see him more often this summer, we have an engaged daughter, but no fiancee that we see, except on Amy's computer when he calls on Skype. They are planning to get married on Nov. 21 in the Las Vegas Temple. Come celebrate that evening with the happy couple!

We were privileged to attend their setting apart by M. Russell Ballard as Mission president and companion to the Washington D.C. South mission. All I want to do is see and hold and kiss my grandbabies. No one is as cute or cuddly as my grandbabies. I scheme and scheme how I can get out of town to visit my grandbabies. Do you see how obsessed I am? I can now totally understand people saying "sorry I can't do that, I need to be free to see my grandbabies!" cuz I say that!! Luckily for me my grandbabies are coming to visit me this wknd to go to their Great grampa's 80th party-yay, I can hardly wait! Perhaps the Lord knew that in the middle of looking in the mirror and seeing the wrinkles on the face, and ripples of cellulite on the body, I could think of my grandbabies, and then know that all the other stuff doesn't matter, just the grandbabies!!

The Baker family, whom we have known for the past 12 years moved to Utah today. We will miss them so, they are a great family, and we have been greatly blessed by their friendship. To commerate our time together, this posting is of a trip we took over Veterens day with the Bakers, the Laytons, the Buxtons, the Newsons, and the Edwards. We went to Knotts Berry Farm, and did the Alpine Slide in the little cars. Fun times, great friends, precious memories! Let's go visit the Bakers and do a ward trip to Lagoon!

Water water everywhere

Our basement flooded today for the THIRD time since we have been in this house, which averages out to once every 4 years. Instead of moving, we have flood. Usually this occurs in August, but April it is this time. Can we please be done with flooding? Third time and done? Once again the sheet rock is ripped up, carpet is gone, stuff everywhere in the house and garage, the smell of moisture and the sound of fans and humidifiers fill the air. I think we live under the Big Dipper, and it just keeps dumping water on us. Oh, we were draining the pool, but we really didn't want to drain it into the basement!!

Well blogger friends, everything about being a grandma is great, except living away from the new little addition! It was so hard to leave and come home and know that the next time I see him he will have changed so much! It is the same intense baby love I felt for my own kids, but with a different twist. He smells so good, snuggles so nice, and makes the funniest faces! Of course he does all the newborn things, party all nite, sleeps all day, wants to eat but doesn't know how, poops all over you, but it is cute, the only time in his life it will be! I am grateful I made it up in time for the labor and the c section. Chris is so tender with Shani and the new baby, it was very sweet to see him take care of her in the hospital. Shani was a trooper and never complained, and is still all smiles even after staying up every nite since she had him! Brighton had a touch of jaundice and had to come home with "lites" to help, he was a glow in the dark baby, but is all better now! We are so thankful for the blessings of increased love and family, and to the Lord for getting our little Brighton safely here.

Heidi is the big 1 6! Hard to believe that our baby is this old! She got heart attacked for her b-day, and also went to Bounce U for her big party! All the kids had lots of jump house fun, including me and Christy on the slide! Heidi had so much fun she is covered with bounce burns now! She even went on her first date, scarry!

Heidi and her school friends performed Zero to Hero over the wknd in the schools Disney and Dinner program. The evening came complete with a line for dinner almost as long as the ones at Disney! Heidi and her friends performed wonderfully. Zach showed off his mad dance skills, and notice Alyssa's new hair cut. And yes, I did make the costumes! Heidi had a lot of energy, as usual, and sang very well! She continues in her "birthday" countdown to the big 16!!

So the other day I am in one of my favorite stores, Target, looking around, and I see a clearance item that I just might have a place for. Quickly I use a lifeline, and call my hubby to see if he agrees with my plan. Upon finding out my location, he tells me: "Quick run, get out of there! That is an expensive place to be! You have obviously found what you are looking for and are now just wandering around. Go out in the desert and look for lizards. It is fun, and doesn't cost any money!" I am still laughing out loud about this "sage" advice!

Christmas is the most wonderful, magical, warm, bright, loving, and also stressful, packed full, and crazy time of the year!! Ours was great, just went by much much too quickly. We were all together at our house with everyone for a brief, 16 hr time slot, but we were lucky to have that as the married kids were at the in laws this year! We missed out on some family traditions, once again Heidi was too busy (perhaps too teenagerish!) to sleep under the tree, yet we brought back the 12 days of Christmas, bringing gifts to our neighbors on either side, and that was really fun to reach out to them, and get to know them better! Merry Christmas all the year thru, how many days left?

Yep that's right, it snowed! Earlier I was driving in my car, with my seat heater on!, listening to Christmas carols, watching the snow come down thick, fat, and flaky thinking this is the coolest thing ever!!! Heidi and Alyssa played in the snow, had a snowball fight, and even threw one at me that hit dead on right after the last picture was taken! Snow in December, a special gift.

We had a very happy Thanksgiving, with both Doug's parents, and my mom joining us, as well as Beth and her kids.
